As we place gems, the collision detection option is activated so we can maintain a minimum distance between them. Within the same tool, we find different tabs to help us place drills to guide us to the final result.
This tool also allows for creating pavés on polygonal meshes. This makes it possible to integrate models made in Zbrush into Rhino and continue modeling the stone and pavé arrangement in Rhino.

This tool is derived from Rhino’s array tool,adaptedand enhanced for jewelry use. We can use it to create the array of any object and since it’sinteractive, we can immediately see the result, as well as change the size or rotation. This toolis especially useful when placing stones since we can change their size and distance betweenthem. We can also automatically place beads, improving the experience and flow in jewelrycreation.
INTERACTIVE CURVE ARRAY ON SURFACES
This tool is particularly powerful when placinggems and then adding beads. We can move the gems along open or closed curves. In opencurves, thistool allows us to leave space for the subsequent placement of beads by moving thegems at the ends of the curve.
BEAD EQUALIZER
This tool is useful when placing beads of different sizes. It allows ustoequalize the height of the beads to facilitate the work of the stone setter.
3D TEXTURE FLOW
Creating surfaces with textures efficiently and interactively is now possible thanks to the 3D Texture Flow tool. A set of patterns is available to quickly adapt them to surfaces, even adding thickness to the surface to achieve the correct thickness. Many more patterns are about to arrive in upcoming updates.
